Onslaught Esports is pleased to introduce you to our 2018 Fortnite lineup, captained by Zack “SizableSquid” Bartel. Please welcome:
Ryan “Ryskiess” Martin
Keith “Quantm” Tatom
Dustin “Lupy808” Lupo
Sevag “xBeastt” Sarkissian
With all five players ranked near the top of the individual Fortnite leaderboards, the team has high expectations for the upcoming tournament and StepOneBR seasons. We sat down and interviewed each player to get their thoughts on Fortnite, the emerging competitive scene, and the chance to represent Onslaught.
Q: Why Fortnite? What drew you to the game, and what keeps you coming back for more?
“What I like most about the game is that it is based around building, allowing for intense and hyper-aggressive gunfights. I find it the most rewarding when you find opposing players/teams that play the game well and give you an amazing fight.” – Ryan “Ryskiess” Martin
“At first, it was just being able to play with friends. What I really like is the combination of the visuals, the movement and gun play, and the challenging aspect of the building element.” – Dustin “Lupy808” Lupo
Q: What are your best traits as a player, and what are you most excited for regarding the upcoming season?
“Aggressive play style. I’m constantly in people’s faces and forcing them into tough situations. As for what I’m excited for, I’m really just excited to finally play with my full team. – Keith “Quantm” Tatom
“I think my best traits as a player is that I push to be the best version of myself to make me a better player both as an individual and a teammate. I’m most excited for the upcoming season to compete against other teams that share the same drive to be the best that we do.” – Ryan “Ryskiess” Martin
“I’m a pretty good shot with a sniper and a great builder. I am excited to compete to be one of the best teams in North America.” – Sevag “xBeastt” Sarkissian
Q: What are your expectations for Fortnite esports and Onslaught?
“I’m expecting our good teamwork to lead to a lot of W’s – we have great team chemistry, having played with Keith and Ryan for the last 3+ years.” – Dustin “Lupy808” Lupo
“My expectations are nothing less than being the best team in the game. Onslaught has always been an organization my teammates and I have looked up to, so I am really looking forward to being a part of this team!” -Keith “Quantm” Tatom
“My expectations for the team is to be the best in the game. I know that sounds cliché but that’s how my teammates and I feel, and we are definitely capable of doing so. Throughout my years of playing video games competitively I have never had quite the opportunity that I’ve been given today and I would like to say thank you to everyone on Onslaught for giving me a chance to chase my dreams in becoming a professional player.” – Ryan “Ryskiess” Martin
With these five highly skilled players and one common goal, Onslaught Fortnite appears primed to build on our history of successful teams. Team captain Zack “SizableSquid” Bartel was excited to put the team to the test. “Not only are these three extremely good outright but since they have been competing together for so long in other games we have a synergy right away that not many teams can achieve.” said Bartel.
Be sure to check out the squad as they look to climb to the top of the StepOneBR PC Fortnite leaderboards and participate in various 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments, and be sure to follow all of the players on Twitter and Twitch today!
