Coming off our 2014 2nd place finish at Gamers for Giving that launched Onslaught eSports into the top-tier team Call of Duty discussion, Onslaught had one goal for 2015 – finish what we started 12 months ago. Our validation however took an almost immediate detour with a stunning 2-1 first round loss to Gravity. Fresh off a dominating MES $10k win only a few weeks prior, no one expected a quick exit for Onslaught from G4G, and we were suddenly staring down that prospect.

Rallying the troops and refocusing on the task at hand, what happened next only adds to the growing legend of Onslaught’s JGeneral, MRuuiz, Kade, and Exib.

22-0.

22 straight map wins, finishing off with a dominating Grand Finals double-sweep of Gravity in back-to-back 3-0 series wins. It was a fitting end to the tournament that launched so much of our success to date, showcasing not only our dominating potential but our impressive ability to bounce back from adversity and work as a team to earn championships. It was also a great way to cap off a historic run in another sense for Onslaught, as we captured our 3rd straight event championship and defended our title as Michigan’s #1 COD team.

Congrats to our guys on a championship that was 110% earned. Check out the post-tourney interview by GamersLook below for more insights into the hottest team in COD and your 2015 Gamers for Giving Champions: Onslaught eSports.
